Mmmonday- Why i don't need corn any more...

Dietary intolerances come in many different forms, generally they affect your GI tract but sometimes they can affect your sinus too.
After undergoing muscle testing for allergies and intolerances, the Dr who carried it out informed me that i was intolerant to corn. I'd been told this before in a similar scenario and totally ignored it because i HATE sweet corn and didn't think about the fact that corn chips are, indeed, made of corn.
I decided i would give it a try and cut all corn out of my diet for a while (this is tough considering America's favorite ingredient is high fructose corn syrup) and noticed i was able to breathe a lot more clearly. I'd suffered from sinus infections for years and hadn't realized how bad it was until i could breathe well again. I did a little research and found a lot of people stating that corn and dairy are both causes of post nasal drip which can cause a lot of mucous and congestion along with other gross stuff.
For years i ate chips and salsa pretty much every day and i'm not exaggerating, its still one of my favorite snacks, but after experiencing a clear nasal passage i realized i needed to quit for good. Thinking of giving up corn chips forever left me feeling seriously depressed because yummy foods really do bring me a lot of happiness.
I tried every type of weird, non-corn chip to eat my salsa with and every time i just felt bummed because it wasn't the same. Until, that is, i found Beanitos: a corn-free chip made of beans.
Most of their chips are vegan but some do contain cheese, so watch out for that. These things are the BEST corn chip substitute i've found and believe me, i've really done my research! The restaurant style ones (pictured below) are a great alternative to your run-of-the-mill corn chip but they also offer a great selection of others if you're feeling fancy.
Thank you, Beanitos, for giving me back the joy of chips and salsa!
WWWHHHAAATTT?!?! My life isn't complete without tortilla chips and salsa. I usually get it every time I go out. Always have a bag at home. Love making nachos, ohmygoodnessss, now I want tortilla chips. Haha. I will DEFINITELY have to try these! I got some amazing falafel chips in my Love With Food box a couple months ago, you NEED to try them. My link will be below...I get points with each person that uses it and then you can use those points to purchase items, OR...you should contact them to see if they will send you a box and you can do a video? Each box purchased donates a box - so that's totally badass, plus most of the stuff is Gluten Free and/or Organic.
